Making Silence: Masquarde 001

Over the last 4 years I have explored the variety of African masks from its numerous tribes across the continent. With this artwork which is part of a series tagged “masquerade”, he draws out a mask with sealed lips and a accessories that depict royalty. The message behind this image is that even though there is much to be said, one is considered wise when then keep quiet but do not let their silence encourage foolishness.
