In the last decade we have witnessed the gradual rise in the acceptance and role of the African woman in shaping society and culture. The successes of a few have led to the advancement of many. The more individual victory stories are shared showing hope, focus and determination, the more multiplication we will witness . This striking blue toned art is an ode to this. I created an ankara motif using eagles ( which are symbolic of strength and ability to rise high) revolving around a typical black and white Phisha style photography.
